Aimai Yori makes electronic music driven by a fascination with the strange and unsettling.
Drawing on early SOPHIE, Colin Stetson, horror soundtracks and Aphex Twin, the project brings these influences together in a stream of consciousness. Warped vocals, shifting delays and unexpected combinations carry the music between dance tracks and looser compositions that break away from familiar song structures.
MACHINA turns this approach towards technological anxiety and dependence on AI. Across eight tracks, dense, abrasive arrangements push the sound towards overload.
